Jocelyn Lee Pey Huey 李沛慧

Dr. Lee Pey Huey has always been interested in art since young age. However, she started taking oil painting seriously as a means to relieve stress from her high-pressured lifestyle while she was undertaking her doctoral degree. Since then, painting has been part of her life. She has a great fondness for fine art but do play along with abstract art once in a while.
The artist believes that painting fine art enhances observation skills, strengthens concentration skills, and develops sensitivity. When dealing with details in an art piece, observation and concentration skills are essentials. At the same time, sensitivity has been developed in the way she looks at nature, people, objects, colours, light and shadow. She believes that an artist’s work should be able to connect to the community, nature and the world in its own unique manner.
Despite her busy schedule, she finds time to paint and has been actively participating in group exhibitions since 2013. Her paintings are appreciated and collected by art gallery and private collectors, and her work was sold in Masterpiece Fine Art Auction 2015. She has also won several awards from the art contests organized by Gallery Ring Online Art Gallery in 2020.
